How Matches Are Organized: Live Betting, Daily Match List, Top Leagues and All Leagues

Sports betting at PHJOY offers four match lists in the match navigation, and each one answers a different question about when and what you want to bet on.

  • Live: matches already in play. This is not the Live tab in the game lobby, which holds live casino tables.
  • Daily Match List: matches grouped by day, for planning ahead.
  • Top Leagues: major competitions only, for a short list.
  • All Leagues: every competition listed, for finding one league.

Each list sorts by League or by Time, and the toolbar sets the odds format and the time zone for kickoff times. Each ticket in sports betting at PHJOY, meaning one placed bet, starts with a tap on a price beside a match, followed by the amount you stake and a confirmation, whichever list you start from.

Asian View, on the toolbar, is a second layout for the same matches. In sportsbook software, an Asian View layout groups matches by time first, then by sport or league, which suits scanning a day’s fixtures before you pick one.

Sports and Leagues at PHJOY, Grouped by How a Result Is Decided

Sports betting at PHJOY covers more than 20 sports. Apart from E-Sports and Virtual Soccer, covered in the next section, they fall into five groups by how a result is decided, and the group shows what a bet on that sport turns on. Soccer and Football are separate entries in the list.

Result decided bySports at PHJOYWhat it changes about the bet
Goals or points over a clockSoccer, Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Handball, Water Polo, Rugby League, Rugby UnionSoccer can end level, so a draw is a result to price; basketball plays on to a winner, so lines are set in points
Sets, games or framesTennis, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Snooker & Pool, DartsA match is a chain of sets or games, so a favorite can lose one and still win
Innings and runsBaseball, CricketScoring comes in innings, so a total counts runs rather than goals
Rounds and finish methodBoxing, MMAA fight can end by decision, knockout or stoppage, so how it ends can matter as much as who wins
Finishing orderMotor RacingThe result is a ranking, not a head-to-head score

Featured leagues for betting on sports at PHJOY include the England Premier League, Spain’s La Liga, Italy’s Serie A, Germany’s Bundesliga, the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, the USA’s MLS and baseball’s MLB.

For Philippine fans, the list features the PBA Governors’ Cup in basketball and the UAAP in soccer. The Governors’ Cup lets each club sign an import, a foreign player under a height limit, so a club’s roster in that conference differs from its all-Filipino one, and a change of import can move a price.

Real Matches, E-Sports and Virtual Soccer Produce Results in Three Different Ways

Beside real matches, PHJOY sports betting lists E-Sports and Virtual Soccer, and the source of the result decides what a price can react to. Check which kind of event a ticket is before you read its odds, because a price carries different information for each.

Real Matches: Athletes Decide the Result on the Day

Real fixtures, such as a Premier League game or a PBA game, are settled by what happens on the day. Team news, injuries and form move the price before and during the match, so a late injury to a star player can change the price before kickoff.

E-Sports: Players Decide the Result Inside a Game

E-Sports are matches between human players inside a video game. A match runs over several maps or games, so a team can win a map and still lose the match. For local context, MPL Philippines, the Philippine Mobile Legends professional league, has run since 2018.

Virtual Soccer: A Simulated Match, Not a Real One

Virtual sports are software-generated events that run on repeating cycles, independent of real fixtures. A Virtual Soccer match therefore has no real squad, no injuries and no team news behind the price. Sports betting at PHJOY keeps Virtual Soccer as its own entry apart from Soccer, so check the entry name before you bet.

How a Decimal Price Becomes a Payout, and Where the Margin Sits

Reading those odds starts with the format: decimal odds are the default in PHJOY Sports Betting, and the toolbar carries an odds format selector. In decimal odds, each price multiplies your stake into a total return that already includes the stake. As an illustration, ₱500 at 1.90 returns ₱950: ₱500 of stake back and ₱450 of profit.

Every decimal price also states a probability, called the implied probability: divide 1 by the decimal odds, and 1.90 implies 52.6%. In a two-way market where both sides sit at 1.90, the two sides add up to 105.3%.

Overround is the amount by which implied probabilities exceed 100%, the bookmaker’s margin. That margin sits inside the price, which is why both sides of an even contest are priced below 2.00.

How Handicaps, Totals and Parlays Settle, and When a Stake Splits

Once a price is clear, the next question is how a ticket settles: handicaps, totals and parlays each follow a fixed rule, and a quarter line on a handicap or a total splits one stake into two halves. The match list carries FT Spread, a handicap market, so the rules below apply to sports betting at PHJOY directly.

PHJOY handicap, total and parlay examples explain split stakes, over-under markets and combined decimal odds.
Bet shapeWins whenRefund or split case
Handicap (spread)Your side finishes ahead on the adjusted score, the final score plus or minus the handicapA whole-number line refunds the stake when the margin lands exactly on it. A quarter line puts half the stake on each neighbouring line
Total (over/under)The combined score finishes above or below the lineA whole-number line refunds on an exact hit, a half line never refunds, and a quarter line splits the stake
ParlayEvery selection on the ticket wins, and the odds of the selections multiplyA voided selection drops out and the ticket settles on the remaining odds

Take a ₱400 ticket in PHJOY sports betting on a favorite at -0.25, a quarter line, with odds of 1.85. If the favorite wins, the whole stake wins. On a draw, you lose half the stake, ₱200, and ₱200 comes back.

Parlay odds multiply: three selections at 1.50, 1.80 and 2.20 combine to 5.94, so ₱200 returns ₱1,188 only if all three win. If the 2.20 selection is voided, the ticket settles on 1.50 times 1.80, which is 2.70, and returns ₱540.

Read the line before you tap the price: on a drawn match a level (0.0) line refunds your whole stake, while a -0.25 line loses half of it.

Live Betting: Prices Move and Markets Can Suspend Before a Ticket Is Accepted

Live betting is part of sports betting at PHJOY, and unlike a pre-match bet, a live ticket meets a price that can move after you tap it. A live ticket commonly runs in three steps:

  1. You tap a live price and confirm your stake.
  2. A sportsbook holds the bet for a few seconds and suspends the market after a major event, such as a goal or a red card in soccer, while the new price is set.
  3. If the price moved during the hold, the sportsbook either rejects the bet or offers the ticket again at the new price; if not, the ticket becomes active.

As an illustration, a 2.10 price on the home team can lengthen to 3.20 after the away team scores, so a ticket tapped at 2.10 can come back as an offer at 3.20. A suspended market is not an error: it stops a ticket from being accepted at an out-of-date price.

FAQ

These three answers about PHJOY Sports Betting all start at the sportsbook toolbar or the match lists, so open them before you ask Live Support.

Where Do I Find a Bet I Have Placed and Its Result?

The PHJOY sportsbook toolbar has three places for this: Open Bets for tickets not yet settled, My Bets for your bet history and Results for final scores. If a settled ticket looks wrong, compare it with Results first, then describe the ticket to Live Support under Other Concern.

What Happens to a Bet on a Postponed or Abandoned Match?

Sportsbooks settle postponed and abandoned matches under sport-specific rules, and the Betting Rules entry on the toolbar sets out the rules for sports bets. Read the entry for your sport before you place a ticket that depends on a match going ahead as scheduled.

Can I Find a Specific League Such as the NBA?

Open All Leagues, which lists every competition on the sportsbook, and look under Basketball for the league you want. This page names only the featured leagues, so a competition outside that list is confirmed only when it appears in All Leagues.
